Safety and Insurance
Please note that because of restrictions imposed by the insurance industry, only those members between the ages of 16 and 80 are covered for personal accident insurance with the Guild.
This does NOT mean that you cannot be a member outside this age range, but it does mean, unfortunately, that we cannot provide you with any personal accident insurance cover whilst you are attending, or travelling to or from, Guild events.
The Guild actively promotes all aspects of safety involving working with wood and at every demonstration of our woodcraft skills we emphasise the importance of safety measures. It is Guild practice to use all recommended safety equipment in our demonstrations.
The Guild is also providing opportunities for members to receive training and accreditation to use the various items of machinery available at the Shed.
