Scroll Saw & Marquetry SIG
Timetable - Scrollsaw



The SIG usually meets at 1.30pm on the third Sunday of each month at the "SHED" Meeting details are included in the monthly Newsletter. (See Newsletters page)

 

     A program of projects and activities is to be developed to further members skills and interests and will include;

(i) techniques (fretwork, intarsia, antofret, 3 dimensional and marquetry) planning and design of projects

(ii) a show and tell at each meeting - problem solving

(iii) using scroll saw techniques in box making including sources and hardware

(iv) techniques for making wooden hinges and catches using a scroll saw

(v) lining and using various materials for boxes and other scroll saw projects

(vi j marquetry on the scroll saw, use of various materials e.g. brass, aluminium, copper and other non metallic material

(vii) a joint project involving members of the SIG

(vii) developing a scroll saw hint/tips and information handoook (underway).
