    The Guild holds an Annual Exhibition so that members can show their work to colleagues and the public. By subnitting their work to critical evaluation by professional judges, members are able to improve the disign, construction methods and finish of craftwork.

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Woodcraft Guild ACT Inc is given.

Nomination form

The Woodcraft Guild is a community devoted to all things wood. Our membership comes from diverse backgrounds, ages and levels of expertise. Whether you a complete novice or an experienced artisan, if you are interested in woodcraft, the guild offers something for you.

Membership provides you access to our well-equipped workshop – The Shed. Access to all the tools you might ever want or need

  • Bench Room, fully equipped with work benches and hand tools and a complete sharpening station
  • Machine room, containing a jointer, planer, table saw, drop saw, several band saws, drum and spindle sanders
  • Turning room, with ten lathes and all the chucks and tools you might need.

Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) meet on a regular basis, so no matter what your particular interest, you are sure to find one or more right for you.

For the beginner, our Introduction to Woodwork or Introduction to Woodturning groups will step you through projects and get you to the stage where you are ready to work on your own. Other members are always available to help you on your project.

The guild has a range of exotic and local timbers available for purchase at prices well below commercial rates.

We also offer a number of opportunities each year to sell your woodcraft.
